TuttoCalabria is an Italian family chili company making peperoncino specialties since 1970 (tuttocalabria.com). Their crushed peppers are made with Calabrian chili peppers, chopped and packed in sunflower seed oil and extra virgin olive oil with salt, vinegar and a touch of basil, so they go straight from the tub to the plate.
Expect bold, fruity heat with a warm finish that builds and lingers. It adds flavor, not just spice, which is why pizzerias spoon it over pies, stir it into sauces and set it out at the table.
